A new study published last month in The Lancet indicates that stem cells may help breast-reconstruction patients avoid tissue rejection. According to CBS News, cosmetic surgeons currently are experimenting with lipofilling, which involves using fat from different parts of patients’ bodies to reconstruct or enhance their breasts.
This option offers an alternative to traditional breast-implants. More than 232,000 women are expected to receive breast-cancer diagnoses this year, and many of them will need to undergo breast reconstruction.
In addition, more than 300,000 women are expected to undergo cosmetic breast-enhancement procedures. It’s not surprising, then, that the news of a more natural option has been well received.
Some Cosmetic Surgeons Already Are On The Cutting Edge
The results were encouraging to many forward-thinking cosmetic-surgeons who welcome the chance to perform a more natural type of breast-augmentation surgery. In cosmetic-surgery offices all over the country, women can take advantage of the higher graft-acceptance rates.
In the Dallas and Plano areas, Skintastic is one of the first cosmetic surgeons to offer this revolutionary procedure. We have developed a strong technique and now are able to offer stem-cell, body-sculpting procedures for the breasts, face, buttocks and hands. A More Natural Breast-Augmentation Surgery
The study involved 10 volunteers to conduct a ground-breaking experiment. Surgeons performed liposuction on each of the participants and used the removed fat to prepare two grafts for each person.
The first graft was enriched with stem cells and the second was not. The two grafts then were injected into the participants’ arms and studied for four months before being removed.
The grafts that were enriched with stem cells displayed far less tissue death and formed connective tissue better than the grafts that did not contain stem cells. The report solidifies lipofilling as a viable alternative to breast implants, one with fewer side effects and more satisfying results overall. Previous studies had examined the same procedure on animals and provided encouraging results, but this is the first one to confirm higher tissue-connection in humans.
For women that were waiting for the perfect time to undergo a breast-augmentation procedure, that time is now! Thanks to this new technique, you’ll be susceptible to far fewer side effects and more predictable results.
Best of all, the fat-transfer procedure is the most natural type of breast augmentation. Both the fat cells and the stem cells are taken from your own body, ensuring the highest-possible tissue-acceptance rates. To take advantage of this breakthrough procedure, Contact Us At 972-620-3223 Today!
